IDENTIFICATION OF AUTOGRAPHS ON YOUR CERTIFICATES AFTER SUBMISSION
From time to time, PASS-CO's staff may identify important historical signatures on a stock or bond that have not previously been noted or identified by the owner. In the event that PASS-CO finds any possibly important historical signature(s) on a certificate, we will notify you of the additional authentication fees involved. We will outline what we believe to be the signature or signatures that should be reviewed for authentication. Any additional fees involved in this process will be clearly outlined and agreed to in advance by the owner prior to us continuing and confirming our Professional Authentication Services Summary process. In the event that this additional fee is not agreed upon, PASS-CO will return, at our expense, the item or items to the owner without comment. We regret that we do not perform our basic grading and encapsulation services on those items that we have identified as possibly bearing important signatures, without also providing the authentication services portion of our PASS-CO PASS process.
PASS-CO's commitment to the long term integrity and reputation of the PASS-CO PASS product, and our desire to be as accurate as possible, in all of our authentications, is our highest priority. By placing an item with possible autographic value into a PASS-CO encapsulation product, without properly authenticating and detailing this important feature would be doing the owner, the industry, the hobby, and PASS-CO a disservice. The appearance of such an item in a PASS-CO encapsulated product, without noting such autographic features, may be misconstrued as an error or oversight made by PASS-CO. The issuance of a PASS-CO PASS is your assurance that the highest industry standards in authentication services have been performed on the item accompanied by your PASS-CO PASS. We will not knowingly compromise these features inherent in every PASS we issue. In all cases, PASS-CO reserves the right to decline service on an item for any reason without comment.
The fee for authenticating an autograph(s) which has been discovered on a certificate will be the same as those listed on our price list for the Silver Level Service price point, plus the encapsulation fee. In the case of multiple signatures, the authentication cost will be the fees for the two highest priced examples. There is no extra charge for any additional signatures appearing on the same certificate. For example, say that you have submitted a stock certificate from the Northern Pacific Railroad Company for our basic encapsulation and grading. Our experts note an overlooked John D. Rockefeller signature that appears on the verso of the certificate during their review process. Upon further review by PASS-CO's experts this signature may be determined to be either: authentic, secretarially signed or a forgery. Before finishing our authentication process, we will notify you of our preliminary finding, and ask permission to complete the PASS-CO authentication process. When both parties agree, PASS-CO will complete the authentication and encapsulation process. The applicable fee(s) would be:
Encapsulation and grading: $22.95 (9" x 14")
Authentication and notation of John D. Rockefeller's signature at the Silver level authentication fee: $69.95
Thus, the total fee for the newly discovered John D. Rockefeller signature on the Northern Pacific Railroad Company stock would be $92.90.
